Dear Colleagues here Find Below the Announcement of the MATE-Agadir Afternoon event planned for december 2nd, 2008 Please Spread the word.

The Regional Academy for
Education & Training-Souss Massa Daraa-Agadir
December 2nd, 2008

MATE-AGADIR, in collaboration with the Regional Academy for Education & Training Souss Massa Draa, and in coordination with the Regional Inspectorate of English, organizes a MATE AFTERNOON at the Academy Conference Room on Tuesday December 2nd, 2008 at 14:30.
The MATE afternoon
will feature the following:

  • Workshop 1: Strategic Interaction: Learning Language through Scenarios.
This workshop deals with the scenario as one useful pedagogical technique in foreign language education and a key activity in the Strategic Interaction Method, put forward by Di Pietro (1987). The facilitator of the workshop intends to highlight the importance of scenarios in making second language discourse strategic in an EFL classroom.

  • Workshop 2: Motivating lower level students to write.
Do you want to help your lower level students enjoy writing in class without much teaching material? This workshop includes integrated skills which foster lower level students writing their own stories in groups. Beside their communicative value, these activities are fun and include total student involvement.
