MATE-Agadir Forum Editorial--APR 2009

Dear Colleagues,
A couple of weeks ago, The "MATE-Agadir Forum" turned its 1st year of existence on the web. when it was first an idea, I have made clear my objectives; those of bridging the geographical distance between Moroccan EFL teachers and ELT concerned people on the one hand and with foreing EFL/ESL teachers on the other, through Connecting, Sharing, Discussing, and Exchanging everything related to teaching of English as a foreign language issue.

Maybe my objectives are high, but I believed in them and tried to put the idea on the right path and turn it to be concrete. Though I confess that at a certain time, i was about to lose faith in this project. and I would like on this occasion to clarify to some of my colleagues who might not know, that webmastering or Administrating a website or a forum is not an easy job as they might think. It is in fact an on going work in which you have to sacrifce a big amount of your personal time, besides the other duties that one has.

Through this wonderful experience, I was pleased to know as a teacher many wonderful colleagues who are willing to share with everyone anything they have got including their concerns and worries about the Teaching of English and Education in general, especially in such changing circumstances our educational system is going through. to these colleagues, Ladies and Gentlemen, i could not but be grateful to your support and recognisable for the great job your doing in classes, may God Bless you.

However, I have also received through this forum offending reactions and insults that I have really wished if they only had been critics and comments, even if I dont know those people in person. to those I say, the Caravan pass and the .............

Finally, we hope we are going on the right path and please if you want to say anything that you see will better our work, including comments, criticism, suggestions, feedback...dont hesitate to contact us, our hearts are open to you and we are all ears.
