MATE-Agadir Forum Editorial--MAR 2009

Post by Admin on Mon Mar 09, 2009 1:08 pm

Dear Colleagues and Forum Members,
I am glad to have again contact with you through this editorial. At the same time, I am sorry for missing the February editorial due to some technical problems, which I hope will not block us having contacts with eachother. I am glad the "MATE-Agadir Forum is gaining lilttle by little some space in this wide moroccan ELT virtual world recently. This is mainly due to the Active Ppaticipation and commitment of all of you who are supporting this humble idea and taking care about it as it grows. Thank you so much.

On March 4th, 2009, The Agadir Regional Brach of MATE organised the 2nd Middle School Study Day on the level of four delegations of the Souss Massa Daraa Regional Academy. Namely; Agadir Idaoutanane, Inzegane Ait Melloul, Chtouka Ait Baha and Taroudant. I had the oportunity to attend this event as a junior High School teacher. During the Event I was impressed by the great enthusiame the Trainees of English showed towards their future job and their eagrness to learn as much as they can from other EFL teachers and Supervisors that are in service.

This Study Day was a first experience for most of the trainees, as they were not much familiar with Presentations and workshops. "Many thanks to MATE-Agadir which has given us the opportunity to experience pedagogical events such as this, it is the first time i attend ELT workshops..." said oneof the trainees. I have to admit also that all teachers showed a wonderful sympathy and support towards the trainees.

Welcome Dear Teacher Trainees to the teaching field. Thus I have one advice to you; and I quote here The former American President J.F.Kennedy "Dont Ask about what this Job will give, but ask about what you will give to those Children"
